Seasonal Eats CSF Program

Try our CSF - Community Supported Food program to

eat healthy, seasonal food year-round.

The Seasonal Eats CSF will provide our subscribers with local, seasonal foods, recipes, first access to seasonal favorites, and more! Subscribers will receive locally farmed produce, locally produced value-added foods, pastured/grass-fed meats, and foodie favorites. The contents of a bag will vary biweekly depending on what is seasonally available within our local network.

What might I receive in a share of the Seasonal Eats CSF?

Your share will include roughly $50 worth of Local Foods encouraging and sharing ways our community can eat locally with our seasons. Check back here for a sample list soon!

​Please be aware that all of these products are dependent upon small local farmers and businesses and as such, products may vary, but the value will remain consistent.

The Summer shares will be more focused on produce and include more items than the Winter shares. 

How much is it?

The subscription fee is $600 for the full season, and $300 for the half season. It equals $50 per week. A bi-weekly $50 payment plan option is also available for purchase in store or by inquiring via email to ruthanne@localrootswooster.com  

Can I customize my bag for dietary restrictions and food allergies? 

Upon sign-up, you will have the option to indicate any dietary restrictions. For each pick-up after, you will be emailed the Friday before Sunday pickup with what will be included in each share.

The Local Roots crew will do our best to accommodate dietary preferences and food allergies, but may not be able to adhere to every preference at this time. Please make your food allergies known upon your sign up to the Eating Seasonally program. 

How do I subscribe? 

You can pay the full season or half season subscription fee online or there is an automatic bi-weekly payment option in-store or by sending an email to ruthanne@localrootswooster.com. For the in-store option, you will come to the market to sign-up, pay for your first week, and give us your information to continue automatic bi-weekly payments. For email option, Ruthanne will send you further information on saving your payment type for bi-weekly purchase. 

 

What day do I pick up my share? 

The pick-up days are all on Sundays and listed above.

What if I can't pick up my share? 

Local Roots encourages you or a proxy to pick up your share on the Sunday it is released at our market in Wooster, Ohio during our open hours of 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. We also offer curbside pick-up for those who wish to avoid entering the market. Local Roots may be able to offer a delivery option within Wooster City limits on a case by case basis with a good reason for delivery.  

Can I bring my bag in to be reused? 

Every Seasonal Eats CSF sign up receives a Reusable Tote Bag - this bag will be ready for your pick-up at Local Roots - full of local foods, Sunday, June 5th. Bring your bag back to us any time before our next pick up to have your bag refilled for the next pick-up. Don't want to bring your bag back to the store? No worries - Local Roots will substitute a recycled and recyclable box for your share. 

Can I still join after the first bag has gone out? 

Sign-ups can continue once the program has started as long as there is subscription space. Program sign-ups will be prorated for the weeks remaining if sign-up happens once the program has already started.

What if it isn't a good fit for me? 

If you don't want to continue with the subscription, we can issue you a refund. The refund will be the total subscription fee minus the weeks you have already received and a 20% administrative fee. To exit from the CSF, you have to do so before June 27th and we will require a 7-day notice before the next pick-up.
