Connect with the Story Behind a Local Family Farm

Autumn Harvest Farm

Autumn Harvest is everything that anyone looking for a small, sustainable farm could hope to find. From the moment you step foot on the farm, you are greeted with a chorus of sounds from the animals living "in harmony" with each other and the land. Beef cattle, chickens, sheep, and pigs roam the grassy hills. Fields of asparagus and rhubarb pop up in the spring, and large gardens produce veggies for the Farmers' Market, restaurants and Local Roots.  also grow certified organic field crops for sale to other farms.

Beth and Marcus Ladrach have been a staple of the local food scene since they helped to found the Downtown Wooster Farmers' Market nearly 20 years ago. The couple, along with their sons Will and Ben, run the diversified 380-acre farm that is nestled in the rolling hills surrounding Rice Hill Road.

You can meet Beth and Marcus at the Downtown Wooster Farmers' Market every Saturday, June through October, where Marcus often serenades the shoppers with his folksy fiddle and accordion music (featured in the video). Shoppers can find their 100% grass-fed beef, pork, chicken and seasonal produce at Local Roots year-round. Local Roots is also proud to serve Autumn Harvest's pork, chicken and veggies in our cafe.

Thank you to the Ladrachs for taking time to show us around your farm and for providing good food and friendship to our community!
