A note from your instructor, Mary Gnizak
"I'm not from a farming family but learned to raise produce, animals and even 4 kids in an age where information wasn't at our fingertips. We called it the school of hard knocks. I've been selling at Local Roots since 2009 and farmers markets since 1994. I also do CSA (community supported agriculture) shares for the early spring, main season and early winter seasons. Our farm is challenging since it is all on a hill, surrounded by woods and a favorite smorgasbord of food for discerning wildlife. If I can grow in this environment, you can too.
